Frank enjoyed playing golf and won 3 trophys from Tinker Air Force Base golf tournaments. As a young man he caddied at Seminole to help support the family. Though not positive, the story is that at about 10 yrs. of age Frank fell into an old style grease pit and injured his hip. Medical help was not avalible due to money, so it was several years before a doctor he was caddying for offered to take him to childrens hospital. After a stay at the hospital he was pronounced cured. After joining the Army he had trouble with his leg and was given an honorable discharge (Although not proven, it is believed that he reinjured his leg in the army). All records of his stay in the service were ( Alledgedly) Destroyed in a fire.
After his discharge he met and married Leona Geneva Amason. After returning to OKC they had their ony child. Upon his retirement, he planed to travel but, he had a stroke due to a brain tumor and spent the rest of his life in the care of his wife.
