(Born about 1817 in Alabama; Died before 1860? in Alabama) Nancy or Mary or Ann Amason was the wife of Peter B. Porter or Benjamin B. T. Porter. Benjamin T. Porter married Ann Amason 10 MAR 1836 in Montgomery County, Alabama. Uriah Amason's will , dated in 1848, named his daughter, Mary Porter. The will also provides an inheritance for the children of P. B. Porter. Uriah Amason's estate papers named daughter, Nancy Porter. Peter B. Porter is also named in the estate papers as receiving property from the estate of Uriah Amason on behalf of the Porter children. Benjamin Porter (Born about 1802 in Virginia; Died: Unknown) and Nancy Porter (Born about 1817 in Alabama; Died: between 1853 and 1860 in Alabama) are listed in the 1850 U. S. census of Montgomery County, Alabama. Ben Porter and children are listed in the 1860 census of Monroe County, Alabama. Nancy and two of the children, Rezin O., and John T. Porter, must have died before the 1860 census since they are not listed with the family. The children listed below are those found in the 1850 and 1860 census listings.
