Uriah Amason's will is recorded in Montgomery County, Alabama. In his will he named wife, Betsy, sons, Mathew, Elisha, and Rufus Amason, and a daughter Mary Porter. Other estate papers for Uriah Amason named wife, Elizabeth; sons, Jesse, Washington, Mathew, Elisha, Rufus; and daughter, Nancy Porter. Uriah and wife, "Betsy" Amason relocated their family to Alabama about 1819 from Georgia, probably at the same time as Uriah's father and mother, Uriah Amason (UriahI) and wife, Bethany.
