(Born about 1820 in Alabama; Died after 1860 and before 1866, probably in Monroe County, Alabama) Elisha Amason's wife was Ary Ann or Ariann (maiden name unknown). Elisha Amason's family was located in Monroe County, Alabama at the time of the 1860 U. S. census. In May of 1860, Elisha and Ary Ann Amason sold property in Monroe County, Alabama. By the time of the 1866 U. S. census of Monroe County, Alabama, A. Amason was listed as head of household. The family was not enumerated in the 1870 census of Monroe County, Alabama and has not been located elsewhere at that time. By 1880, A. A. Amason, a widow, age 65, born in Georgia was listed in the U. S. census of Shelby County, Texas, adjacent to her sister in law, M. A. Amason and son, W. F. Amason.
