From a story told by Afton Prewitt, Caroline died in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, while traveling to or from Texas. From what I am told, Caroline was part or full blood Indian. A marriage record search through the Internet shows a Christopher Amason married a Alfred Caroline Lewis in Alabama. A visit to the Wynnewood City Hall shows that Caroline is buried in Block 115 of the oldest part of the cemetery in Lot 1. I now have a photo of the headstone showing Alfred C. Wife of C. O. Amason.
